Hey guys I am currently a junior at a top 25 US national university. I recently decided to apply to law school after undergrad so and I have a ton of questions.
major: double major, hard stem+philosophy
GPA: 3.65 (I am really worried since I am studying abroad in my entire junior year and the grades here cannot be factored into LSAC GPA)
Non-URM but international student
LSAT: practicing and aiming for 170+
Soft: founded a company in China; think tank internship; big business firm (Fortune 50) internship; study abroad at LSE; and other on-campus extra-curricular.
My ultimate goal is CLS, which I know is a long shot given my GPA. Generally, my goal is T14 and preferably with some scholarship. Should I graduate and work for a year so that my senior year GPA can be factored in?
Any other advice will be also much appreciated.

Your GPA isn't great but it's not an albatross either. Definitely work for a bit after college, and with the right LSAT you can definitely get into the T14, including Columbia, maybe at a discount. If senior year lets you get your GPA above 3.7 that's even better.

Hi! Thanks for your reply! I definitely plan to get my GPA above 3.7 through my senior year but since I plan to go to law school directly after undergrad, only my first semester of senior year GPA can be included. The Lsat Airbender wrote:Your GPA isn't great but it's not an albatross either. It's not easy to forecast chances for schools without an LSAT score, which is the most important input for admissions chances. I'd focus on getting as high a score as possible and evaluate your options once you have a sendable score.

Then maybe don't go to law school directly after undergrad, which is suboptimal for other reasons besides.cartmanbrah123 wrote:I definitely plan to get my GPA above 3.7 through my senior year but since I plan to go to law school directly after undergrad, only my first semester of senior year GPA can be included.
