Georgetown ED with 3.5X / 165?

Post by WhiteHouse » Sat Jan 03, 2015 2:23 pm

I know what MyLSN says, however the stats they have with ED are not that telling. Does anyone have any insight to the ED stats at GULC?

Non-URM, Very good softs, 2 year Teach for America work experience, strong recommendations.
The GPA is from a top liberal arts college, notorious for grade deflation.

Thanks for any help!

Are you able and willing to pay the full $160,000 in tuition (and three years of living expenses) without drowning yourself in loans?

If so, you could give it a go. I wouldn't be super optimistic about your odds, though.

You're pretty far south of both their medians, so I'd trust myLSN on this even if you're doing ED. If waiting till next cycle and retaking is an option, I would say go for that.

conventional wisdom is EDing at a school like GULC is bad news because they arent gonna offer you any significant money.

You're unlikely to get in regardless, but ED'ing probably won't help, see: http://admissionsbythenumbers.blogspot. ... op-14.html
