URM: MA Male
GPA: Low 3.9s
LSAT: 173 (October 2013), 168 (June 2013)
Weak softs, should be average LORs.
For someone who wants to work in the Bay Area, where should I be targeting? HS obviously, and Boalt I'd assume. Are CCN good for the SF Bay Area market? Is it worth spending money to apply to schools like Michigan, Virginia, Penn, etc. in this case? Would there ever be a scenario where It would be worthwhile to attend those schools over Boalt for example? Is Y worth a shot with weak ECs?
Thanks.

You are in at HYS. Since you want SF, take Stanford. Have fun

You should be in pretty much everywhere.
It's up to you if you'd like to spend app fees at those schools, but you're very likely to be in at HYS. I'd do Stanford if you'd like to stay in the Bay Area.
Y is worth the fee if you'd rather go there, and you're a strong candidate despite weak softs and such, but again, your top choice is probably Stanford, unless you'd rather not go to school where you plan to practice.
