If you are only PTing a couple above 170, I wouldn't risk a retake. With URM ststus, you are in good shape imo.
EDIT: but if you were PTing high 170s, it might be worth if to make you a lock everywhere.

I mean, I guess your chance at Yale does increase quite a bit with a retake. So if you really want to give yourself the best show you can, why not. But if you're happy with H/S/T14 full ride, then why bother.

I mean, you're obviously sitting pretty right now, but you could be sitting prettier.
If you were scoring significantly higher (i.e., not just 171-173), then I think retaking is a very good idea. Even if you were not scoring significantly higher, I still think hitting the books again and seeing if you can move up your scoring is a very good idea, especially since you're going to have so much time on your hands. Three more points would significantly boost your chances for YLS and for receiving a CCN full ride.

With a bunch of free time on your hands, I don't see how studying more and retaking has a downside. Worst case scenario, you score a 168 and nothing happens (it almost certainly won't hurt your chances). Best case scenario, you improve to a 173/4 and get to go to Yale.
