Would a school care or react negatively toward you if you get accepted this cycle without $$ and decide to retake and apply again next cycle.

Unless you really screw up the retake I do not see why they would care. Especially if you can put a good excuse in your personal statement next cycle saying that you were glad you were accepted before but you had to withdraw for ____________ reason. Just do not use the same personal statement again. I have heard (not entirely sure though) that many schools will look negatively on you for using the same one even if you had already been accepted the previous cycle.

Thanks, appreciate the info. I was hoping to use the same PS. I wrote, what I felt was, a great PS that incorporated some elements of why that school was my #1 choice.

I think this is an absurdly stupid rule. Your PS is supposed to reflect WHY you want to go to law school, and if you truly are dedicated to the law, this shouldn't change from year to year.

If you ask me, they should be more wary of people who apply each year with a new BS personal statement than someone who truly put their thoughts on why they want to go to law school on paper and actually meant it.

There is someone in the Columbia thread who was accepted last cycle but didn't get offered money and re-applied. She was rejected this cycle.
