Incompletes

Post by admisionquestion » Wed May 18, 2011 11:55 am

Hi,

Quick GPA question. I am working on a independent study and my grade is currently going to be an incomplete at the semester's end. After I finish up my classwork it will be an A. But this will likely not happen until mid fall. How will an incomplete look on my LSACGPA? Should I fight to get it changed before applying?

Incompletes are not counted as long as your school considers them "non-punitive". A grade is usually considered non-punitive if you do not receive credit for it and it does not affect your GPA. For more, check out: http://www.lsac.org/policies/transcript ... zation.asp. I still think it's worth fighting to get changed though. Even the little boost in your GPA could help.
