4.0/171 (just one LSAT)
Wondering whether the app fee and the hassle are worth a shot at Stanford. I know I have the numbers, but my softs are not so great.
- Two recs: one is probably very good, one is average
- UG is a Tier 3 public (think Shit-town State University)
- So-so work experience since graduating a few years back (mostly jobs that don't require a degree)
- PS is decent to good
I'm definitely applying CCN on down, but I would appreciate some input on my chances at S. I'm currently leaning toward spending that $100 app fee on the new Call of Duty instead.

Definitely worth the app fee if you want to go to Stanford. I would recommending getting one of your recommenders to write you a targeted LOR for Stanford though. Purely anecdotal evidence, but I am from a mid-sized public university, nothing special, and a friend of mine was waitlisted last year with 4.0/169. He waited to send a targeted LOR until after he was waitlisted. I might recommend having it sent in right away instead. My $.02

Worth the app fee but your chances are extremely slim with weak softs.
