I graduated from UG in 2009 with a 3.79 GPA. I am currently at Michigan in my second year of a masters program. I took the October LSAT and got a 165.. while I was hoping for a 169/170. Michigan is my dream law school- I am pretty much dying to go to Michigan- and I have sufficient specific reasons why I want to go there.
I realize that a 165 LSAT is too low to be admitted into Michigan, so I have committed to re-taking in December and am confident I have the ability to get into the 169/170 range ( I scored abnormally worse than usual on my best section-LG). My applications are ready to be submitted. The questions I have are: if I do get a 169-170 on the December LSAT... will I have a better chance of getting into Michigan if I ED now and get deferred to regular decision... or a better chance if I submit my application once I have my December score? Do I have a chance of being rejected before my December score comes out if I ED? What is the best timing for me to send my application in? (I don't care about losing the application fee if I don't get any higher on Dec.)
I'll take any little advantage I can get.
Thanks!

I don't think you can apply ED with a pending LSAT. So study for December. Also, if you app ED now and do not indicate that you are retaking you may run the risk of an outright rejction.

He means rejected via regular admission.daydreamer wrote:Not true. They say on their website that if they reject you ED, they still consider you for regular admission.buckilaw wrote:I don't think you can apply ED with a pending LSAT. So study for December. OP: I'm in a similar situation as you (3.72, 167). I'm applying ED and considering the Dec. LSAT...I think I will end up taking it just in case.

Retake and don't ED or you'll get IAFG'ed. She applied ED to Penn when she was signed up for Dec. Got rejected. Had to request they reopen her app. Then later in the summer they rejected her again.
Just wait.
Just wait.
