Why not ED to Penn, and then ED to UVA if you get rejected?

I would get my Penn ED decision by mid-December, right? I wouldn't be giving up too much of an advantage by applying that late to UVA? I was considering applying ED to UVA first (since they tell you within 2 weeks) but if I get rejected ED at UVA I can't really expect better at Penn, or so I thought...

Penn ED decisions came out around 12/9 to 12/10 last year, so that leaves plenty of time to ED at UVA before Christmas break if necessary.

EDIT: You'll be paying sticker at either school, so make sure it's the one you really want.

With the WE, NU is a good bet. The army enlist is a nice soft, but I don't think you have a good shot at Penn. Look at the ED policies for Penn, UVA, Michigan, Gtown and NU. Rank what schools you want, and then play strategically. I think you will probably end up at UVA (they love their ED folks) or NU (they love WE). Good luck!

Okay, thanks for the info. No rich uncles but sticker's worth it (to me) for T14. 2 more years of GI Bill will help, at least.

You'll want to check out UVA's Yellow Ribbon program as well.

Have you visited all of your possible schools? They vary greatly in their culture, so I recommend it-it may help your decision.
