law school predictor is too generous these days due to the application cycle becoming more competitive ITE. You are probably shut out of the t14, but apply far and wide.

bear in mind that law schools rarely take a non-URM candidate who is below both medians

i knoww, i was consistently doin 170s on the practice tests too, but i think i'd rather try to get the edge with applying early than doin a retake and having the scores averaged. and thank you, i do appreciate your input :)

that edge won't compensate for beling below both medians.

I think your right in the middle where you probably don't have much to lose, and the opportunity cost is worth it because your so close to the cusp of a t14. Three or four extra questions can get you a much better shot at a better job. You can always apply early, and retake and send it in if you do better.

166?

The schools you should have good chances for are the ones ranked about in the low to mid 20s.

The only schools where multiple LSAT scores will count against you are maybe HYS. Retake if you feel comfortable.

if you take it after you submit your applications do you have a choice whether or not the schools receive the scores later?

Call the schools to be sure, but every school I applied to before my retake waited for my Dec. score before making a decision (like they said they would). I could tell they had probably looked at my app too, because in the case of UF, UGA, and Emory I heard back within a couple weeks, but they wouldn't move on it before the second score.
