GULCASW12
This is for the Georgetown ASW March 29-30. Here we can talk about whose going, where to stay, any TLS meetups if people want, the schedule, and other things.

if you want a cheap place you might want to stay outside the city and just take the metro in. anywhere outside dc that still has a metro stop will probably be cheaper than the city

You should check out airbnb. You can stay rent apartments and stuff nightly for some really good prices.juju96 wrote:looking forward to thisi still need to book a place to stay. anyone have any suggestions for hotels that are relatively cheap and close?

I'll be there -- looking forward to it.
What are your thoughts about the on campus housing options versus off?

On-campus seems to attract a somewhat younger crowd and has a more dormish feel. I like being off campus, especially around finals; it's nice to be able to separate oneself from the craziness on campus. That said, Gewirz is really social, and you can't beat the commute.LawSuccess wrote:I'll be there -- looking forward to it.

Would have love to have done a meetup...haven't logged in here in a while. Anyway, I thought that ASW was great. I had a wonderful time learning about the culture and resources. It definitely made me more interested in attending Georgetown. I can see myself here.

does anyone else have an opinion of Gtown after the ASW or after a general visit? Did it change your mind for or against enrolling?LawSuccess wrote:Would have love to have done a meetup...haven't logged in here in a while. Anyway, I thought that ASW was great. I'm thinking of driving several hours down there to tour the school (and have a little fun) before making a decision, but I'm not sure if it'll be worth it. I was in DC last spring and drove by the law school campus. It looked to be in the middle of a nice, but relatively deserted area.
