This is for the Georgetown ASW March 29-30. Here we can talk about whose going, where to stay, any TLS meetups if people want, the schedule, and other things.

if you want a cheap place you might want to stay outside the city and just take the metro in. anywhere outside dc that still has a metro stop will probably be cheaper than the city

You should check out airbnb. You can stay rent apartments and stuff nightly for some really good prices.

Current 1L here. I'll probably see some of you this week. If you have any questions, please ask.

I'll be there -- looking forward to it.

What are your thoughts about the on campus housing options versus off?

On-campus seems to attract a somewhat younger crowd and has a more dormish feel. I like being off campus, especially around finals; it's nice to be able to separate oneself from the craziness on campus. That said, Gewirz is really social, and you can't beat the commute.

Would have love to have done a meetup...haven't logged in here in a while. Anyway, I thought that ASW was great. I had a wonderful time learning about the culture and resources. It definitely made me more interested in attending Georgetown. I can see myself here.

does anyone else have an opinion of Gtown after the ASW or after a general visit? Did it change your mind for or against enrolling?

I'm thinking of driving several hours down there to tour the school (and have a little fun) before making a decision, but I'm not sure if it'll be worth it. I was in DC last spring and drove by the law school campus. It looked to be in the middle of a nice, but relatively deserted area.
