Meetings With Admission Staff During Visits?

Post by Chambo » Thu Aug 18, 2011 11:27 pm

I'll be applying to law schools in the fall and I am visiting campuses over the summer. It seems like several places I'm looking at give you the option meeting with somebody from the admissions office either individually or as a group Q&A session. Does anybody have experience with this stuff? What to do, what to say, what to ask etc...

At one school, I am scheduled to meet with a higher-up in the admissions office (may be the dean of admissions, I have to double-check) for what I can gather is a quasi-interview. I don't know if they're doing it as a courtesy to my father (an alumnus) or if it is SOP am coincidentally going to be seeing somebody higher up in the staff.

Please don't take this as me trying to float my own boat on a message board... I'm genuinely anxious and uncertain as to how I should approach the situation.
