I'd like some attention from these schools 8) But not the kind that starts with, "we regret to inform you that..." or "while you're not admitted at this time, we've decided to waitlist you with 29384713948375923857 applicants."

Agreed! I like shiny packet attention, not mean email attention. :|

c'monnnnnnnnnn hastings!

Congrats on your recent admits, you lucky b*stards. I'm literally sitting in an office building 15 minutes away from hastings and resisting the urge to walk over and see what the hold up is! been complete since 10/28. ugh, waiting's the worst. Oh well...

Good luck to everyone else out there!

Is it just me, or was the packet that arrived today surprisingly impersonal? I understand the volume of applications they are sorting through, but to send something out that has nothing at all tailored to the individual accepted applicant? No money information, and just a collection of fliers?

You should be very skeptical of any law school that tries to blow wind up your ass. Law applicants like to have their egos stroked, and the Cardozos and BLSes of the world have perfected that art.

The vast majority of schools don't do anything personalized. Those that do are in the distinct minority. My acceptances to Villanova & Washington and Lee were each just a single sheet of paper in a form letter format. American and Loyola-LA were packets with form letters. Only acceptance with a hint of personalization was from Pitt and that was two sentences written in pen at the bottom of the standard form letter.

I thought it was nice. It was just a bunch of fliers and a generic letter.

I suppose I am being a bit overly sensitive. I'm really interested in Hastings, and after the small envelope, single-sheet acceptance three weeks ago, I've been anxious for more information. Just a symptom of the overall application process, I guess.

. YP, perhaps? If not, I think hastings needs to rethink their admissions criteria. But UVA? Congrats on that!

Nope. That would be too 21st century for their liking.

No email. I'm in the bay area so it probably only took a day for the letter to get to me.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
Just kidding ... it's still FREE!
