Re: UC Davis
No response to my emails either and no change in status. I've already had to deposit elsewhere for the time being (nonrefundable). I can't even begin to describe how frustrating this process has been.

Yeah, I'm already down $200 at UA on a depositbceagles182 wrote:No response to my emails either and no change in status. I've already had to deposit elsewhere for the time being (nonrefundable). I can't even begin to describe how frustrating this process has been.
If neither Hastings or Davis pan out, though, I'm thinking I'll take the June LSAT and apply early next year. Now that's frustrating.

The worst part is that I live on the East Coast and I can't afford to waste money visiting unless I get in so...missinglink wrote:Yeah, I'm already down $200 at UA on a depositbceagles182 wrote:No response to my emails either and no change in status. Re: UC Davis
Davis, I fear we're facing a problem
you love me no longer, I know
and maybe there is nothing
that I can do to make you do.
Mama tells me I shouldn't bother
that I ought to stick to another school
a school that surely deserves me
but I think you do!
So I cried, and I begged for you to
Love me love me
say that you love me
I can't care about any school but you.
(still "Evaluation in Progress" *sigh*)

Finally went to evaluation in progress today. Now I guess I only have 2 months left to wait before finding out the results.

Waitlisted via status checker last night with a 169/2.8. I'm guessing a scholarship will not be on its way if I get off, so I may withdraw.
Good luck to everyone still waiting!

Looks like I'm probably headed that way to the WL too then, if they ever get to my application...Neil wrote:Waitlisted via status checker last night with a 169/2.8. I'm guessing a scholarship will not be on its way if I get off, so I may withdraw.

Re: UC Davis
I'd say there's about a 99% chance I'll be going to the U of MN. Still waiting to hear back from Santa Clara and UC-Irvine, but it would probably take a big scholarship to sway me at this point, since I get in-state tuition at MN. Kinda bummed I won't get to study in the sun, but excited to be moving back to MN nonetheless...cali gal wrote:Where do you plan to attend instead?Neil wrote:Waitlisted via status checker last night with a 169/2.8. For anyone who has ever worked construction you know that nothing ever goes as planned. When they were laying the foundation for the new building 2 years back it was really noisy at times and the power was being cut periodically. This year I have heard a hammer or saw maybe a few times, but nothing really distracting. Next year I'm guessing it will either be the same or better. Honestly, construction noise is nothing to worry about now that the new building is actually up and all the heavy machinery is gone. As far as where classes will be... you won't care. Your first year you will be too worried about missing something the professor said or hoping that the next name called isn't yours to ponder the architecture of the classroom or the "squeaks" coming from chairs. If you have legitimate back problems or something then I can see the concern, although if that is the case there are spots up front with better seating to pull up.
Couldn't have said it better myself.
You guys aren't taking into account that the new construction/renovation will be of the actual building where the classes are held. This was also where I saw most people studying. I'm certainly not an expert on the layout but it seems like the noise from inside the building in which you're trying to study will be louder than an entirely separate building next door.
Thoughts?
