Just got my email, 24k/year. Happy with it, but doesn't make my decision any easier.

Dr. Nick, just out of curiosity, why choose Irvine over WUSTL

Also just received the SIL award. $26k a year. At this point, I had pretty much stopped thinking about WUSTL, but this does make me reconsider. With 28 from BC, and 30 from both GW and L&C, though, I'm not sure if it's enough to seal the deal.

Does anyone else think this may just be a glitch or a mistake? I was accepted but not considered for any scholarship, just got an email saying I got 60k it makes no sense.

Congratulations to everyone that has received $ today. I hate to come off as bitter, but I am, now that I see so many people with the same/lower #s receiving double my offer.

From what ive seen they let you know in acceptance email if you are being considered for the SIL offer.
Oh ok thanks. I don't see that in my acceptance email so I guess not.
Just thought I should reiterate that I was offered $10K/year just now despite not having that line in my acceptance e-mail. And it's even called the Scholar in Law Award in my offer, so maybe it's just a mistake that the line doesn't show up in our e-mails. Either way-- don't lose hope!

I know, I read that right after posting. I apologize for whining Helm, you deserve it over me without a doubt. Still though, doubling our offers hurts.

I kind of thought I'd get a full-ride offer, too.

Congratulations! The Scholarship Committee has awarded you a Scholar in Law Award, one of the most prestigious scholarships bestowed by the Washington University School of Law to entering students. It is offered to a select group whose academic achievements indicate that they will be outstanding law students and lawyers.

See lsn for details. It's a damn good offer. Enough to turn down NYU? I don't know.

got the $ email today. 37K/year. definitely making WUSTL worth considering.

yeah, im going to have to decide between this almost full-ride offer and NYU, Penn, or Chi at sticker. I have enough money saved to cover a little less than one year of school at the moment, and my family can probably cover most of the rest. but free $$$ would alleviate so much guilt and make things so much easier for me. and i have no interest in biglaw, so big debt isn't something i can stomach easily....

arhg, too much to think about

Congrats on your offer. That does make the decision a bit more difficult, but I'd still go to NYU in a heartbeat.

Got 11k/yr.

A bit relieved that it's low. I heard they were generous (and 11k IS generous with my 3.34/170) but I don't think that's quite high enough to compel me to move to St. Louis. Will probably still go for a visit. Can't turn down an option just because... at least not until I form my own opinion.

25K/year scholarship via email. Don't think it's enough to sway me from my other options.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
Just kidding ... it's still FREE!
