I think they throw all the applications in a pile and pick at random. Seriously, though, I don't think there is any real method to their madness. I had worse stats 168/3.3 and took only 8 days from the submission of my application to get accepted, and that was mid-February.

Please tell me you are joking. Only 8 days (which is great for you), but the rest of us are waiting weeks and weeks?! Wtf mate

No joke, and I was as astounded by it as you... still waiting to hear about any $$$ tho. that's becoming as frustrating as waiting on the rest of my apps to be decided on.

170/3.8
Complete 12/16 (status changed again to complete 2/3).

Is it b/c I'm from the Lou and they want only East-coasters?

thanks for any info!
I'm complete 12/21 and have not heard anything since. Should I be calling them to ask what's going on?
bleh, i just called them. Admissions said they are aiming to render decisions the remainder of the outstanding files by the end of March.

Called again just now. Same reply. Guess we the "remainders" would get our decision email soon.
Similar update dates - I'm stuck at 2/3 as well. 173, GPA just a bit lower than yours.
Basically, I'm going to have to pick another school. I wish they were an option, but they're just taking too long!

Likewise. I got my acceptance very quickly, but still haven't heard about scholarship.

Pearl Earrings:

Same here. Complete in mid-December, stuck at 2/3, 3.58/173. There seems to be a good number of people with great numbers for WUSTL stuck at 2/3. So it's either:

1) We all have something wrong w/our apps
2) They are going to give us full scholarships (but why would they be waiting this long?)
3) We are being YP'ed

I'm betting on the third.

It's a shame b/c I would have seriously considered WUSTL w/$$$.

Everybody's taking a long time, though. I haven't seen much movement at any school lately. I think, with everyone applying to a shit-ton of schools this cycle, these schools don't have any idea what to expect for a yield rate, so they're trying to gauge true interest by getting impatient people who have other options and aren't really interested to withdraw, rather than tying up acceptances and scholarship money with applicants who are going to withdraw anyway.

Edited to add: But since each school is taking forever this year, no one can decide on where they really want to go. I think schools are basically going to have to make heavy use of the waitlist this year and see how things turn out.

My status changed from Application Complete 12/21 to Application Complete 3/19. I hope this means a decision--I don't even care what kind of decision at this point.

I just got my third complete as well.

Applied: 2/28
Recieved: 2/28
1st Complete: 3/9
2nd Complete: 3/10
3rd Complete: 3/19

What were your numbers?

Someone said that 3rd complete = decision soon. Is this true?

well it differed for everyone but usually that was the case. but since its so late in the cycle it doesn't seem to really apply anymore.

This is only my 2nd status change, not my 3rd. I think there were quite a few people that got a decision rendered after 3 changes.

My numbers are so-so: http://lawschoolnumbers.com/meddlingkid

Yeah, but your numbers are consistent with other URMs who got in and got scholarships.

I would go berserk if I got into WUSTL. It's really where I wanted to go in the first place, and it's first on my list right now, unless I miraculously get into Cornell. Unless UIUC or Minnesota admit me and give me much better scholarships, it's where I will probably matriculate if I get in.

Ditto on going berserk. I would love to get into a school I actually want to attend. I hope we don't have to wait too much longer.

Me too. I tried getting a thread going called "WUSTL March 26 ASD" or something like that, if you want to search for it. Basically, I think it would be nice to get some TLSers together for a little social gathering over the weekend.
