1+ and I am terribly afraid that I will have to have another complete after my next (my 3rd) before I can expect an email. And, who is to say that that will all be done before "April Reject Season."FunkyJD wrote:I'm a 2/3er and have heard nothing.taw856 wrote:Those getting scholly info, etc. ... Are 2/3ers and 2/4ers still waiting on decisions?

So I got $40k per year, very generous. Does UCLA think highly enough of WUSTL for me to use this $120k as scholly leverage?

You may have something there. I have a 167 and 3.87 (goes to the argument about the GPA as well) and 10 years work experience and I got $117K.Neil wrote:Baseless hypothesis:

Okay, small base (sample size: Me): I've been in the working world since 2006, and think my $30k total offer is a reasonable first offer given my numbers (though it will probably take a little negotiating before I would choose WUSTL, as much as I love the school).

Maybe they're GPA-conscious. Have any splitters been thrown money yet?
It's also kind of strange that some are getting 40k a year and some are getting 39k.

The extra 1K might be based on an LSAT cut-off...goodolgil wrote:Maybe they're GPA-conscious. Have any splitters been thrown money yet?

Splitter 170/3.2 (engineer), straight out of undergrad, $37k a year
Wash U just seriously turned my cycle upside down, I had already gotten pretty excited about going to GW with nearly the same amount of money.

Re: For WUSTL Applicants
my hypothesis: theyve admitted a bunch of splitters but not too many reverse splitters, so its more important for them to swing the people with high GPAs right now than the high LSATs

I can see where your coming from but I cant help but wonder if that extra 33k (the difference between the UCI and WUSTL scholarship after 3 years) would be worth paying, considering WUSTL will most likely be ranked 10 spots higher.DoctorNick189 wrote:Better location, more money, better "feel."ENGINEERD wrote:Dr. Nick, just out of curiosity, why choose Irvine over WUSTLDoctorNick189 wrote:33k. Meh. I think I'd like to do JAG and then some gov't work in SoCal; I'm not looking for "BigLaw."ENGINEERD wrote:I can see where your coming from but I cant help but wonder if that extra 33k (the difference between the UCI and WUSTL scholarship after 3 years) would be worth paying, considering WUSTL will most likely be ranked 10 spots higher.DoctorNick189 wrote:Better location, more money, better "feel."ENGINEERD wrote:Dr. Nick, just out of curiosity, why choose Irvine over WUSTLDoctorNick189 wrote:33k. For those of you disappointed in your award amounts, at least you didnt get a scholarship offer of $2,000/yr. Seriously Wash U, wtf? Granted, my numbers suck but that's almost insulting. Looks I'm off to UIUC in the fall....

As people start to decline their offers, are they going to offer us any more money? Or will we have to negotiate based on another school's offer to get more out of them?

Re: For WUSTL Applicants
$10K/year. Decent, but disappointed. I was hoping WUSTL would give me a biggie - something to entice me away from offers already on the table or something to use for negotiating purposes. As it is, with an identical offer from BU and $20K/year from ND, I'll probably be withdrawing.

169/3.5 (engineer) w/ 7k a year. that $37k/yr is amazing, and making me very upset at the moment.nyyankees wrote:169/3.2 and i got 9k/year. Seems like an enormous difference to me, no?caleng wrote:goodolgil wrote:Maybe they're GPA-conscious. Have any splitters been thrown money yet?

Re: For WUSTL Applicants
Thanks but I have still yet to receive the email tonight so I'm guessing its not in the cards for me.. although I wonder what happens when people with offers withdraw. Maybe they'll distribute them to us who were not so lucky to get a scholly in the first place..Neil wrote:Just thought I should reiterate that I was offered $10K/year just now despite not having that line in my acceptance e-mail. And it's even called the Scholar in Law Award in my offer, so maybe it's just a mistake that the line doesn't show up in our e-mails. Either way-- don't lose hope!Stephanie13 wrote:Oh ok thanks. I don't see that in my acceptance email so I guess not.vanstone22 wrote:Stephanie13 wrote:I did not get a scholarship email just now but I also wasn't accepted till just this Tuesday. Does this mean I won't be getting an offer? I know my numbers aren't that great but even a little would be nice!
From what ive seen they let you know in acceptance email if you are being considered for the SIL offer.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
