I wonder if they just updated everyone who was still under review....has anyone who was under review as of last week NOT had the date updated?

for those of you who have been emailed with a deferral/ding after receiving a DR, how long did it take for them to email you? i went DR 12/7, application completed 12/8 and haven't heard anything.

Seriously, though, my numbers could not be closer to the dividing line between acc's and rej's so far. That's not stressful at all.

This has been asked a few times ...

First, the multiple UR updates seem to have been common in both rejects and admits. Second, it either means they automatically update everyone under review or else it means that a new member of the admissions committee is now looking over your file.

I am in the same boat, UR 12/03 and now UR 12/09, so good luck ...

im DR 12/9, too. where in the country are you located? im not expecting anything today...but i hope to find a nice georgetown acceptance tomorrow!

IN! I was in the DR 12/7 group, and it just came in the mail today. 171/3.36 with an interview right before Thanksgiving.

Ditto - only difference is that I went complete 11/04. I think it's pretty certain that we're going to be getting the DR on Monday. Just a feeling.

Am I the only one who has received this email? For those interested, the whole thing says:

Dear Chaoticait:

Thank you for applying to the Juris Doctor program at Georgetown University Law Center. The record you present is a strong one, and the Committee on Admissions has chosen to postpone your final decision.
Each year, a large number of candidates submit applications to Georgetown Law early in the process. The high quality of this group makes the Committee's decisions extremely difficult. Please be aware that only a small number of early applicants have had their applications held, and a number of those applicants in past years have subsequently been admitted.
Once we have a better sense of the entire applicant pool, the Committee on Admissions will review your application again in January. No additional information is necessary, and The Law School Data Assembly Service (LSDAS) will continue to send us updates, which we will add to your file. A final decision will be mailed no later than Friday, February 26, 2010.

It means you aren't auto-reject. Good chance of admission, better chance of waitlist, low chance of rejection if you interview. Take the opportunity.
