It'll never go to "under review." At this point it will stay as it is until they decide on you, then it will change from "decision pending" to "decision rendered."cherryalamode wrote:Question:
For those of you who check their status obsessively like me... how does the BC checker work?
Mine says I'm complete. Does it, at any time, go to Under Review?
Or does it go straight from complete to decision rendered?
Thanks.

Thanks! And, yes indeed! I'm a 165/3.78, with (I assume) pretty solid softs (mock trial, legal undergrad thesis). I'm in at BU too so I guess I've got a looong flight to Boston ahead of me, and a tough decision. I'm from WA State and have been to Boston for a total of 3 days in high school, so this should be interesting!tram988 wrote:YESS! Congrats!! May I ask for your numbers?benetnash wrote:In! CONGRATS!!!! You just gave me hope I have the exact same stats (legal undergrad thesis as well), and BC is my first choice! Just curious, when did you go complete?

I think having a car is key. With a car, you can live just about anywhere and park at BC for $100 a year. I plan on living down beacon st near Kenmore square. Then you can enjoy the open, green campus of BC law during the days and have the T to play in the city on the weekend. Just be ready to compete with the vultures for the limited overnight resident parking in boston. The Pen Is Mightier wrote:Ha yeah, def a tough choice to make.
I just don't want anyone comparing the schools under the misconceptions that BU is in the slums of Allston or that the B line functions anything like a normal subway line.
If I were to end up at BC, I'd probably just suck it up and get a car. That also gives the benefit of driving into town on saturdays, parking anywhere, drinking my fill, leaving the car overnight and coming back in on sunday morning for brunch/car pickup. Love that move.

Thanks, I'm most definitely jacked about it. I turned in my application on 12/03, and I believe it went complete on 12/14 (that's the status checker date for completion, at least). My packet came with the DR 02/01 crowd. I never got the phone call though. I really hope you get it, GOOD LUCK!jescro10 wrote:CONGRATS!!!! For financial aid packages, its just FAFSA and Need Access for BC, right? Just want to make sure I'm not missing anything.

I was DR 2/5 and just received the acceptance packet today. Stats in profile.
In NYC, so my mail is super fast but I think many of you should expect to hear today or tomorrow then!

I just called BC to confirm receipt of my LOCI and supplemental materials. The woman with whom I spoke (who was extremely nice and helpful) let me know that my file is "in review"....as in "I can't confirm receipt of your materials because the committee is physically reviewing them right now, at this very moment...."
Wow.

Decision rendered 2/9! Complete on 12/23, but a December retaker. Do they always send decisions to permanent address or is there some chance I might get it here at school?

Re: BC Law 2010
LiveFree, were you an EA applicant that was put on hold? That was my case and my status checked has "decision rendered" for 12/8/09, when they sent out my EA hold letter. Can I ask what your numbers are? I'm 165, 3.33. It seems like people with better numbers than that are getting rejected, but some people with lesser or comparable numbers are getting accepted. It seems really tough to predict.LiveFree wrote:I just called BC to confirm receipt of my LOCI and supplemental materials.
