I would call and ask if they have everything. I went from received --> complete relatively quickly.jocelyne wrote:quick question peeps, I received the application received email on Nov 6 and still no complete email. Should I be worried or is this normal?

I ddn't go complete until I sent them an email. They replied on the following day with both a personal email stating completion and the automated email that I hadn't received.EijiMiyake wrote:I would call and ask if they have everything. Re: Stanford 2010!!!
I hesitated for a long time as well, then made up my mind to check. They were very nice and perfectly understanding.jocelyne wrote:thanks for the replies, guys. I just don't want to bother them if it is going to be automatic anyways....they said in the app received email that they "will notify if there are any missing materials."
should i still go ahead and check with them or let it be? I am such a borderline candidate (even optimistically speaking) that i don't want to annoy them at all.... don't know what to do
(They did notify me for missing materials after some time had elapsed. I contacted them when my final materials should have long since arrived and I had received no completion notice.)

Anyone think SLS will make it back up to the number 2 spot this spring?

If they can raise their LSAT range to 170-176 (which I am absolutely confident they can do if they were as #s focused as Columbia or Harvard), I could see them overtaking Harvard.

Re: Stanford 2010!!!
+1. The distinct difference in their current LSAT ranges is surely enough to keep them at #3 unless they make an effort to raise it, which is unlikely unless they change their admissions philosophy.hoopsguy6 wrote:Legacy316 wrote:Anyone think SLS will make it back up to the number 2 spot this spring?

Re: Stanford 2010!!!
The reason Stanford stays ahead of schools like Columbia with higher LSAT ranges is that its peer ratings are consistently spectacular. Those are enough to keep it in the Top 3 regardless of what they do with the LSAT range.managamy wrote:+1. So maybe I missed this... but when the hell does Stanford start letting people know their decision?

LSP shows last year's earliest admits were around December 15th-ish.
Does anyone know Stanford's method of choice? Email? Phone? Regular ole mail?

Re: Stanford 2010!!!
Hey guys,
This might sound somewhat neurotic but I submitted at the end of October and after I hadn't heard anything for 2 weeks I emailed them to make sure everything was alright. They said I had gone complete on 10/30 and was under review but still never received an automated or official complete email. I assume everything is fine but was just curious if anyone else had this same experience.
Thanks!

Early admits (and maybe most admits) get a phone call from the dean, Faye Deal.hoopsguy6 wrote:LSP shows last year's earliest admits were around December 15th-ish.

The pre-2010 batch will be VERY small, if previous years are any indication. Most decisions won't come out until January or later.hoopsguy6 wrote:LSP shows last year's earliest admits were around December 15th-ish.

I think Dean Faye must love her job. I would if everyone I called sounded ecstatic to hear from me.crackberry wrote:Early admits (and maybe most admits) get a phone call from the dean, Faye Deal.hoopsguy6 wrote:LSP shows last year's earliest admits were around December 15th-ish.

I'm not allowing myself to think about Stanford until next year. Not even dream about it.crackberry wrote:The pre-2010 batch will be VERY small, if previous years are any indication. Most decisions won't come out until January or later.

Luckily crackberry and I are Stanford auto-admits. It was hard work overthrowing Sudanese dictators, sweeping the countryside for dangerous landmines, practicing for the LSAT by diagramming logic games with sticks in the desert sand, and running a refugee camp that at capacity held thirty-two thousand; but together we were able to do it.crackberry wrote:The pre-2010 batch will be VERY small, if previous years are any indication. I was vaguely hoping for a pre-Xmas chat with the appropriately named Faye Dean, but it is probably too much to expect.
