I think law schools should at least render the initial decision before May 1, especially if they expect us to put deposits down May 1.

Sorry, because of my non-traditional status, I am not familiar with typical law school cycles, but are decisions that are still pending by May 1 (no acceptance, rejection, or waitlist decision) standard?

I could understand forfeiting your deposit because you got into your dream school off the waitlist, but do we basically forfeit our deposit if we put money down on a school now, and then get an initial decision from another school next week that we prefer?

My deposit is due at another law school Monday, and I still have 5 initial decisions still pending.

Still standing. I really hope they give me a decision by Monday. I have to make my binding decision on where to attend law school by Monday.

Where are you going to deposit if HLS doesn't give you a call? Aren't you sans-JR1?

I got dinged by NYU so I am not holding my breath for this. I'd be delighted with a WL here though. I am starting to feel that my numbers are not stacking up quite the same as they should lol maybe just me though.

I am going to GULC, but deferred to 2011. It's a complicated situation.... please see my post on Harvard waitlist thread.

I have not had a phone interview. I took the Feb LSAT and also submitted my application in Feb. I went complete in March.

Regardless of what happens, I will be at Harvard in the Fall, just not in the law school :)

MPH.

Of course, in addition to all the other amazing things HLS has to offer, the JD MPH program is only 3 yrs and saves you a significant amount of time and money.

WLed last week (JR1 was back in March). I deposited at CLS, but I guess there's no harm in riding out the waitlist.

JR2 is Jill Rubenstein, his wife. Together they make up the HLS admissions team.

So I counted 2 survivors. Multiplied by the self-reporting coefficient (the number of applications divided by the number of LSN profiles :D ) it means 16-18 survivors. Ok, let's add another dozen: 30 at most. Looks like a punishment for applying about/beyond the deadline

More than a page and a half are still pending on LSN. I don't know how many are orphaned but I bet you more than that are still pending. If you sort by completion date they have gotten through the first week of March and most of us are after that so we still wait. This is a de facto WL until the rejection. They are under no obligation to review our apps since we are so late.

Take the 2008-2009 cycle--more than a page and a half are still pending from the last year. :)
If you're another survivor though, I should admit that it'll be somewhat 3*SRC+12=40 at most :)

Has anyone gotten a JR1 with ~3.7 gpa (but good lsat: ~175+)?

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
Just kidding ... it's still FREE!
