Just saw another profile updated on the LSN site, and thought the SMU letters might not be far away... until I realized that they got their info on Dec. 19 with that first wave of full ride offers and only updated their information yesterday. Dang this waiting game...

Yeah if LSN tells us anything, it looks like the next time we'll be hearing from SMU is at the end of January...curses!

first batch of decision was sent before xmas. I believe on the 19th of December.

Right. Very small group. Thinking those were only the full ride offers and now they are awaiting decisions from those applicants before proceeding - to see how much $ they will have left to work with. Call me crazy, but it sounds logical to me...

if LSN is an indicator of their decision practices...I would imagine this week and the next are when we should start hearing back. and for those of us who applied early decision, we should also at least know something for sure by the end of the month. best of luck to everybody!

This wait is brutal. I go from thinking one extreme to the next about every three days. I really hope they will be sending out letters/making phone calls/notifying us somehow this week. Killing me...

just saw your numbers...you are going to get in. just enjoy the process, seriously no sense in stressing about something that's out of your control (trust me I know easier said than done). good luck

DallasJosh - SMU or bust??? I didn't see any other schools listed...that might be part of it.

That's pretty much it. SMU is the only school I applied to. I'm an older applicant with a wife and two kids who are solidly rooted in our community. If not SMU, I will probably have to do some soul searching and see if I want to apply regular cycle to UT (doubt I would get in) or maybe Baylor. That would be a very tough decision for me, however. And it's not just acceptance that I'm so worried about. I've applied to the full time program, so I would need some scholarship money to help offset the cost of living and me quitting my job. I really want to do this, but finishing school with $170-$200k in debt would be a tough pill to swallow...

In the past they've mailed decisions on January 31st (a Saturday this year). So, prepare yourself for February 3rd notification, enjoy the next 10 or so days, and if news comes earlier then consider it a welcome surprise. I know, it's not that easy, but I try.

I applied ED and my status checker still says 'Application Completed 11/11'. I guess they still have some time, but I'm just anxious to know.

I suspect some people will hear something today, but most of us unfortunately will have to wait till they mail things out on the January 31st...best of luck
