Guess the theory on the new High LSAT/Median-GPA group was off , bummer
Probably a little too early to say for sure. I'd expect maybe another set of PCEM's to go out next week based on past history, and that should likely let us know for sure.

In other news, on LSN a 168, 3.5 non-urm was apparently accepted off the waitlist, which is completely the opposite of anything anyone could predict... so I suppose there's hope as long as you're on the waitlist.

I'm just glad it's the weekend so I'm not checking my phone every few minutes. :P

Haha, yea, just be glad you already had the first call. It's most likely only a matter of time for you.

Do we think some more PCEMs are going out this week?

I'm thinking/hoping maybe a wave today just like last week, but I don't really know, just a guess on my part.

Yea, I'm hoping to hear that some go out today as well. Hopefully people will post in here, they seem to go out in the mid to late afternoon.

I love hearing all the stories of people getting in because Im happy for them. But as they hear back and we dont (keeping in mind theres a good number of people getting called who are not on this board), I worry the spots are running out.
Did anyone figure out how many people got in off the waitlist last year? Or, how many people on LSN got in from waitlist?

We have 5 people just in this thread that got in right? Please correct me if Im wrong.

Hmmm...no PCEMs today?

I've been staring forlornly at my inbox all afternoon.
Yea, me 2. The only positive way to spin this is at least 20 didn't go out today, none of which was you. There's still a few more days to keep hope alive until the opportunity is unrealistic. Compared to last year, not many have been accepted off the waitlist yet.

Check out the OP. Relax. As of now, way more people got accepted off the waitlist on LSN last year than this year. There's some cross between those on LSN and those in this thread/LSD, but as it stands 9 people have been admitted/gotten a PCEM. If another wave of PCEM's goes out this week or next, and you don't receive one, then I'll give permission to panic. :)

Sorry to hear that, Lyrrad. Had you been wait listed and then dinged, or deferred and then dinged?

Does it make any difference in Harvard's decision process to let ppl off the WL if you tell them that you would withdraw from Stanford to go to Harvard?

Probably not. Almost everyone on their waitlist is going to be committed to a top 6 school, and by staying on the waitlist you've essentially already told them that you would leave wherever you deposited to go to Harvard..

I agree with your guess that telling HLS you'd rather be there than SLS doesn't get you very far, but do you really think "almost everyone" on Harvard's WL has deposited at one of only 5 schools?

I would guess that UVA, NW and a few Dukies are as far down the rankings as they really go. And the majority are probably CLS, NYU, Chicago, Boalt.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
