Application Process
Application Opens: October 1
Due Date: February 28
Application Fee: $60 + LSAC processing fee (need-based fee waivers only)
Required Components: Personal statement; Yale 250; two letters of recommendation; explanation of college activities, honors, and employment (and post-college employment and activities if applicable); C&F explanation if applicable; LSAC application; LSAT score; transcript
Optional Components: Resume, addenda, diversity statement
Decision Notification: Admitted applicants are usually notified via phone call, although late in the cycle notification often comes via email; dings and waitlists go out via email
- Important Notes:
- Application timing does not affect your chance of admission
- Yale places a strong emphasis on academic LoRs — at least two of your letters should be from professors
