Would it be too over-eager to apply on August 15th?

Haha I asked the same thing. Doesn't seem like waivers come out until later. Would like to see if I can save a little money. Not being able to work during the school year puts a huge hold on my available funds.

Checking in!
I'd love to apply August 15th but I think I need to give my recommenders some more time. TCR is the fee waiver thing though.

Maybe send a request for one? Can you do that early?

I'm planning on waiting and if other start receiving them I'll email. Cornell doesn't do much with applicants early in the cycle anyway. I'm not going to be in a huge rush. Top school for me right now. Just gotta be patient.

I'd suggest maybe waiting until early September to send apps to schools that do waivers. Cornell sent out a wave of waivers on August 20th this past cycle, and many other T14 schools sent them in late August. Also, Cornell usually don't hand out waivers in response to solicitation but it's worth trying.

You either must like the cold/snow or you only like a couple months of the year.

Speaking as a Canadian, you guys
don't even know. In Montreal, it was full blown winter from November to April this year. I like winter, but after days of walking through snow and ice in -40 degrees, and going to work and coming home in the dark, I'm hoping to find myself a
little farther south...
Haha geez. I'm on the opposite end of the spectrum since I've been in Miami for the past couple of years. Even, like, Vandy is going to be a rude awakening in the weather department. Wish I could stay and attend the preftigious FL Coastal...
...Oh well. My SO likes the cold and misses snow, so at least he'll be happy haha. Cornell in the snow looks gorgeous tbh

Me too lately here it's been negative degrees from December to April but hardly any snow. I can handle the cold as long as there is pretty snow to go with it.
