Penn Waitlist 2014

Penn Waitlist 2012: http://www.top-law-schools.com/forums/v ... 7&t=180069

Penn Waitlist 2011: http://www.top-law-schools.com/forums/v ... 7&t=145779

Penn Waitlist 2010: http://www.top-law-schools.com/forums/v ... 7&t=102604

There are useful breakdowns of the numbers from the last few years of LSN WL>Acceptances in the 2012 thread as well as discussion:
cogitoergosum wrote:Penn has years where they take LOTS off the waitlist, and other years where they take almost nobody. As I'm seeing it, I think our shot at Penn will largely depend on what kind of year this is. In my terrible neurosis, I've compiled some LSN data trying to find some statistical basis for a prediction about what this year's WL movement will look like. I can't say there's anything compelling here, but maybe one of you will see something I'm not.

Hoping this is a good WL year!

The only thing that I think might be taken to mean something positive for us is that we're still five days pre-deadline, and the % Accepted -> Withdrawn number is already creeping up close to the last two years' numbers.

(usual caveats regarding LSN imperfections etc. apply)
I'm just hoping that someone can help me get to mid-May and the rest of the way through the summer...
I just submitted an optional essay and plan to be riding the WL into Philly.

Anyone else on board?

Also: don't have the full numbers, but at least nine people reported a Waitlist--->admit on LSN from last cycle. http://penn.lawschoolnumbers.com/applicants/1213

From Penn's Waitlist email:
We will begin the review of wait listed candidates in mid-May. It may well be that we will make admission offers to wait listed candidates over the course of the summer; however, we cannot predict the number of positions that may become available. We appreciate that a position on the wait list puts you in a difficult situation and that you will want to know more about your probability for admissions. Be assured that we will contact you as soon as we are in a position to provide further information and/or make a final decision.
And:
You are welcome to submit additional materials, such as an updated resume, an additional two page essay on a topic of your choice, or one additional letter of recommendation. This additional letter of recommendation must be submitted through LSAC if you have not yet submitted the maximum of four letters to us through LSAC. You may submit the other materials, including a fifth letter of recommendation, by email to contactadmissions@law.upenn.edu (preferred method) or by fax to (215) 898-9606. If you are currently in undergraduate or graduate school, please submit to LSAC an updated transcript with your most recent grades as soon as it is available. Please do not send updated transcripts or semester grade reports directly to our office.

Like Toast, it took me a bit to hear back, so if you didn't respond right away, I wouldn't worry about it yet. The deadline isn't for a bit, but if you haven't heard by the end of the week, I might give them a call.

Does this mean we can't do an additional essay AND an additional letter of recommendation AND an updated resume? So we can only choose one out of the three?
I'm sure you can submit more than just one
