Has anyone had a luck trying to negotiate with U of R for higher scholarship offer?

I am actually about to send an email to Baylor my other choice about upping aid and then after that Richmond. If you have applied to other schools similar in rank and have gotten more aid then doesn't hurt to ask. Worst they can say is no, they won't kick you out.

Anybody get any new word on acceptances/rejections? If I do not hear by Friday, I am assuming rejection.

Went complete on 3/3. They said all decisions "should be mailed out" by Friday. Richmond accepts through phone calls from what I know.

According to the UR LSN page, applicants who received notices late in the cycle for the past couple years were either waitlisted or rejected...Still have not heard anything, so I am going to assume this year will follow suit and expect the rejection or waitlist in the mail. I am bummed.

For those that are still considering, have you looked around for housing options? There seem to be some pretty reasonable places in Richmond.

I'm coming from the San Francisco area, where living is obscenely expensive, and I've been so impressed by how reasonable it looks to live in Richmond. I'm considering living in the law dorms, though, for convenience's sake, since they're furnished and I'm not sure what my car situation will be like next year, coming from so far away. Anyone else considering the law dorms or heard anything about them?

I considered it, but seeing as I'm a non-traditional, I'd be homeless during the summer.

I know a few classmates who live in the law dorms.

From what I've heard, you get a few roommates (one person said they had 4 I think). Also, they are on the other side of the parking lot- you're looking at at least a 10 minute walk every day. Other than that, I know nothing. If you are a few years out of college, going back to dorm life might be hard. Also, living with law students will most likely get stressful, especially around exams. And if they are already in your section, you'll either become extremely good friends, or hate them by Thanksgiving.

Just what I've heard. Lots of reasonable places nearby. Not sure what your budget is though.

First sign of life on LSN.

If you are waiting at this point, it is a waitlist or rejection.

Waitlisted :(...I noticed from last cycle there were two waitlists, a priority and regular. Is this still the case?

I was waitlisted as well. Not sure if mine was priority. Was a generic letter talking about the current accepted students' stats and when WL should be notified. Anyone get a letter that said something different?

I was notified by mail. I received generic letter, I think. I am out of town so I had a friend read me what it says, but can't remember the exact wording. I will post tomorrow what it says once I'm back in town. For those that have received waitlist, can you type up what you received? It would be nice to compare.
