Been looking for a place to stay, and I mostly see summer sublets. Any idea when the Emory Housing Pseudo-Craiglist / Real Craigslist posts for Fall will start trickling in?

To incoming students:

I'm looking for a roommate(s). My two needs are pet-friendly and washer/dryer (not connections, but the actual machines). That takes out Campus Crossings and Post Briarcliff for me. So, anyone looking to a grab a house/apartment that can fulfill my need of having my cat chill on a spin-cycle, send me a PM.

Current student here: I'd advise you to look into Highland Lake, Emory Point, or Clairmont Reserve. I know 100% all are pet friendly and that definitely Emory Point and Clairmont Reserve have washer/dryers.

Enjoy Emory. Also, I noticed you said you didn't drink. Drinking culture is pretty huge in the law school here but you will definitely be fine if you choose not to drink--I know multiple people in my class who don't drink at all and they still have active social lives/etc. Definitely don't let it stop you from coming out to the kegs/bar reviews at the beginning of the year to meet people. There's no pressure to drink, but I think it might be hard to connect with people if you don't attend any of the beginning-of-the-year events.

Just withdrew. I hope my $$$ goes to a TLSer! I was very excited to go to Emory Law, but situations at work necessitate taking another year off. Good luck everyone!

Hi Everyone!

I am a current student at Emory Law looking for a roommate. I rented a 2 bedroom 1 bathroom apartment in Clairmont Reserve across from the Clairmont Campus and I am looking for someone to rent one unfurnished room to. The layout of the apartment is pretty awesome because the only part of the bathroom that is shared is the toilet and the shower; each person has an individual sink/cabinet room independent from the other. The apartment has a full kitchen which is shared as well, washer and dryer, heating and A/C.

I am looking for someone who is very mature, quiet, clean, and organized. I am currently in Miami interning for the Summer, but the apartment will be available starting Aug 18. The monthly rent is going to be $650 plus $100 for all utilities. (Cable, Electric, & Water). Send me a message if you are interested and we can go from there.

Just FYI, August 18 move in likely won't work for any 1Ls due to the fact 1L orientation starts like August 11th and classes start August 18th...

Hey, has everyone figured out housing? I'm going to be attending Emory as a transfer student this fall. Also if anyone's in the orlando area i'd be down to take a roadtrip to the atl.

This exciting piece of data was published today under best law schools for value. Thought I’d share it.

Emory University-
The average indebtedness of 2013 graduates with law school debt was $113,656.
-90% of 2013 graduates carried student loan debt.
-83.6% of 2013 graduates were employed in long-term, full-time legal jobs.

hi, I am considering Emory. How is your experience there so far? how about careers and reputation with top firms?

This is the wrong forum for this question. This forum is just for sharing info about when acceptances/rejections/waitlists go out. Also, if you use the search function, you will find a lot of threads discussing Emory.
