Unfortunately, I don't know, because I checked my status after I received the acceptance email. I hadn't checked my MD application status in quite a while and I was surprised by the email.clemenza wrote:and how long after you saw the change in status did you receive the acceptance email? Does anyone know what the chances for admission are with a 155 LSAT & 3.55 GPA, based on prior experience or knowledge?? Thanks!

Been in review for a month now....beginning to think my chances are dwindling since it's taking so long. Then again, they do say their rolling admissions process may take longer than other schools. Is anyone else stuck in review?

I've been stuck in review forever, which is strange because I thought I would be an admit. This was my top school.Jesseye wrote:Been in review for a month now....beginning to think my chances are dwindling since it's taking so long. I've been in review for over a month now. 3.6 GPA, 163 LSAT. I'm really nervous. Should I contact them….

I wouldn't fret. It seems Maryland takes longer with their decisions because they have rolling admissions. I've been UR for a month now too. Going through the old threads it looks like that's pretty standard. The admissions office says it takes up to 12 weeks for a decision to be sent out.Yanky91 wrote:I've been in review for over a month now. 3.6 GPA, 163 LSAT. I'm really nervous. Should I contact them….

Did the people who got accepted receive an email or did their status just say "decision made"?

Was a note added at the top of your status checker about residency? I don't recall seeing that before today's "decision made" status...pauly_biegler wrote:It says decision today on mine, no email or any extra boxes that indicate acceptance. 3.93/160

I looked and I have that but I don't know if I had it before or not. Not a clue.

Just got accepted- like I said earlier 3.93/160 nothing on the status checker indicated that I'd get in (i.e. photo box, deposit info, etc).

Do UMD's reported GPA and LSAT ranges include part-time students? Is that why it's such a big range? Because I am well within the range but below the median for LSAT and GPA. My application still says under review as of today (2/18)! Submitted app on 1/1. Still waiting and hoping..

Finally got my acceptance email today! Really excited. I was in review for 3 months, so don't give up if you are stuck there for a while. Anyone have info on scholly yet? Did you guys get it with your admit packet?

Scholly info didn't come with the acceptance packet but I received a scholarship letter about a week after the acceptance arrived. I'm not sure how Maryland does scholarships though, from what I've read they want to interview you for a scholarship but no one talked to me, I didn't expect a letter like that at all.
If anyone else receives scholarship info please update us. I think the one I got is dependent on me being from the state of Maryland and they may want to interview me for a more merit-based scholarship but I have no idea and that may be all they will offer me. I've heard in previous years they give out leadership scholarships and stuff like that too.

Status update today:
I've been in review since 1/6 and just got a date update on 2/25, but it still says Under Review.
Any idea on what the date changes mean?
