If LSN is accurate, there doesn't seem to be much hope for those still waiting (including myself). There hasn't been an acceptance since 3/25 on LSN.

Should there be any movement today since May 1st is right about the corner?

Decision mailed today. WL or ding on the way, but setup my FedEx account just in case though. Complete 1/17

Must deposits be received by today or just postmarked by today?

I haven't even received a decision yet, and the deposit deadline is today. This isn't good is it?

From what I understand, it seems that those of us who have not heard back yet on some kind of informal hold where they don't want to make a decision on us until they see how many deposits come back. This is rough though

A hold is better than a rejection, though.Scvaz7 wrote:From what I understand, it seems that those of us who have not heard back yet on some kind of informal hold where they don't want to make a decision on us until they see how many deposits come back. This is rough though

From LSN, most of the decisions since March have been on below-median applicants and none have been acceptances, but most of the March decisions were on fall applications. There have been only six February/March applications accepted - all either URMs or at/above LSAT medians. Not a single February/March application has been rejected! I don't think February/March applicants are on hold - I think the medians and above were accepted outright and the below-medians haven't been reviewed yet.Scvaz7 wrote:From what I understand, it seems that those of us who have not heard back yet on some kind of informal hold where they don't want to make a decision on us until they see how many deposits come back. A previous poster indicated decisions would be made mid-May for February/March applicants.

Well this sucks then. What is the point of making us wait this long?HRomanus wrote:From LSN, most of the decisions since March have been on below-median applicants and none have been acceptances, but most of the March decisions were on fall applications. HRomanus is completely right. I would also add though that now they are also probably additionally having to deal with seat deposits that came in. I think we just have to patiently wait for a decision ( Hopefully an acceptance).

Looking at LSN for the last cycle, I don't see much hope that we will be accepted. There were no acceptances in the month of May. For that matter, I don't think there's much hope for much scholarship $ should we even be accepted. That practically eliminates the school for most of us.theletterj wrote:HRomanus is completely right. I'd hate to be captain obvious, but our apps are not the priority of the office at this point in the cycle. I'd rather have them give our apps a lot of time than just outright denying them.Scvaz7 wrote:Well this sucks then. February applicant. Still no response. Looks like I'm in the informal hold pool like some of you guys. Would like to hear a response back before my 2nd deposit deadline in June.

Anybody have any idea when they'll be deciding on wait listed people?

I just took a look at the 2016 thread and from what I saw there was one wave of WL acceptances on 5/7 and another one on 6/4 so I'm assuming there's going to be a similar pattern with the first wave either this week or next and then another in June?futurelawstudent14 wrote:Anybody have any idea when they'll be deciding on wait listed people?

What did things look like for February/March applicants who hadn't received a decision?rahulg91 wrote:I just took a look at the 2016 thread and from what I saw there was one wave of WL acceptances on 5/7 and another one on 6/4 so I'm assuming there's going to be a similar pattern with the first wave either this week or next and then another in June?futurelawstudent14 wrote:Anybody have any idea when they'll be deciding on wait listed people?

I like to think that there is someone on admissions staff holding it out for me, fighting for my app. "This guy, let him in," they say. One can only pray though.

"Decision mailed" today. What are the odds it's an acceptance? Could it even be? Or do they only email those?
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
