Congrats to the acceptances! I had my Georgetown interview with an alum (as well as interviews with alumni from Northwestern and Vanderbilt), and it was great. Feel free to PM me any questions!

Does your status change once a decision has been made?

Re: Georgetown c/o 2017 Applicants Thread (2013-2014)
Hey everyone!
Just checking to see if anyone's been having a similar experience to me: I submitted 11/22, went complete on 11/26, and haven't had a status change since then. I did get a group interview request on 12/4, but I had to turn it down because I couldn't make the travel arrangements. My status didn't change at all when that happened.
Everyone seems to be having multiple status changes, so I'm just confused as to why I'm having no movement. I'm above the 75% on LSAT and GPA, but just barely so (aka not enough for me to think it's YP). I also live/work in DC, so I assumed that could have expedited the process, but I guess I was wrong.

Similar numbers to you from what you said, maybe slightly better LSAT. Similar location. Submitted 11/8... Had an interview... Nothing since.MrMileyCyrus wrote:Hey everyone!

Can you guys shed some light on the alumni interview? Anything I should focus on other than the typical why law and why GULC?

Group interview invite today! Anyone know the protocol for this? Do they interview pretty much everyone or is it a pretty good sign that you'll be accepted?

A bunch have people have gone through them ITT, but in addition to those just know your resume and go with good questions. I really think my questions were what seperated my interview from being a solid interview to a great one.str8yolked wrote:Can you guys shed some light on the alumni interview? Did anybody else here go to the group interview in DC tonight? The one from 6 to 7 PM?

accepted!
GPA essentially 75th, LSAT > 75th. Four status updates (including the initial complete), no interview.

Held.
<25th GPA, >75th LSAT
Not too shocking but it still stings.

Did you do an alumni interview? Maybe they thought you didn't show enough interest ?objection_your_honor wrote:Haha, thanks. Life of a splitter.

I did, and I thought it went pretty well. I work at a big law firm in the same city so we had a good amount to talk about.abdistotle wrote:Did you do an alumni interview? Maybe they thought you didn't show enough interest ?objection_your_honor wrote:Haha, thanks. Life of a splitter.

I accepted the alumni interview invitation 10 days ago and no response yet
I know it can take several weeks to set something up especially with the holidays but the wait is killing me! I almost wish I did not accept the invitation! LSAT at 75th, GPA at median. Anyone else in this boat? I need someone to commiserate with!

I'm sure it varies by region and availability of alumni. I accepted my invitation on 12/12 and had the interview in the bay area yesterday, but I know some other here have waited a while longer. I wouldn't sweat the waitemmybee wrote:I accepted the alumni interview invitation 10 days ago and no response yet
