Scholarship information comes separate from the acceptance packet. If it's been over 4 weeks, you may not have received a scholarship and will need to use their matching program.

I'll be visiting campus tomorrow (Monday) for a tour. Anyone got specific requests for pictures?

Anything and everything. I can't make it down to visit until the first week of April, so the more pictures the better.rion91 wrote:I'll be visiting campus tomorrow (Monday) for a tour. Anyone got specific requests for pictures?

URM at median and 75th? UT must be a tough one to crack. That would have you on lock with $$ at a lot of schools.MnM22 wrote:Hello, everyone!

Pics to come later. The tour and admissions staff/tour guide were amazing. Will have them up when I get home from work!

Totally forgot you were doing this! These will be nice to have, I took some back in December, but the campus was dead (post-UG finals and end of LS finals).rion91 wrote:Pics to come later. The tour and admissions staff/tour guide were amazing. Will have them up when I get home from work!
EDIT: Copypasta from C/O2017 thread. Has anyone else uploaded their picture but your freshlaw still says "picture not uploaded"?

Yep, it was kind of embarrassing to take pics in front of all the students. I was an obvious 0L standing outAttax wrote:Totally forgot you were doing this! Appreciate the Friday night invite, but looks like I'll be heading out of Austin following the events on Friday afternoon. I got burned on the Hilton Garden Inn discounted rate (missed the March 7th deadline) and ended up lining up one night at the Omni downtown.
Still not opposed to Thursday night drinks following the tours and whatnot if we can get a group together..

I'm in for this too. I have a friend at the LS, I'll email him regarding bar review if y'all would be interested in crashing that and chilling with some current students.Cactus wrote:Attax wrote:I live here, so staying all. Had a feeling it was coming up. They've been refinishing the wood (doors and other areas) at the school for the past few days.Attax wrote: Hopefully they let you in so you can come to ASW this weekend!!!

Any bar review on Thursday or Friday? If so, would current students be opposed to us crashing it?

Re: Texas c/o 2017 Applicants (2013-2014 cycle)
There will almost certainly be bar review on Thursday but they generally announce it on the Tuesday before, so I'll post here tomorrow if/when I get an email. I'm not sure how many 1Ls will be out that night due to our brief being due 4 days after, but I'm sure everyone would welcome 0Ls at bar review.Attax wrote:Thursday and friday! Mine still says "Student picture has not been received", but when I click on "Submit your photo", the picture I uploaded shows up as my current profile pic. So maybe it'll just take a while to update that they've received it.Attax wrote:Has anyone else uploaded their picture but your freshlaw still says "picture not uploaded"?

Thanks. That is the exact same thing that I have, just glad to know I'm not alone in these photo endeavors.ScottRiqui wrote:Mine still says "Student picture has not been received", but when I click on "Submit your photo", the picture I uploaded shows up as my current profile pic. SBA Email:
I'd definitely recommend going to bar review because at the admitted students events you'll mostly be interacting with students handpicked by admissions to make UT look awesome. You'll probably get a better feel for what it's really like here by talking to people at bar review. Sadly I'll be working on my brief and can't make it though.I hope everyone had a wonderful spring break! We're heading to Kung Fu this week for bar review!
Where: 510 Rio Grande St
When: Thursday March 20, 10p-2a
Specials: $3 Wells, $3 Domestics, $3 Pickle Shots

Will also be going to bar review! If anyone wants to meetup at ASW, I'll be the super tall guy with a backpack on Thursday who is coming straight from class. Feel free to PM me a link to your facebook if you'd like to add me so we can at least know what everyone looks like (I'm also on the admitted students fb page.Cactus wrote:Awesome, thanks for the info!
