So I realized that I put a different number of hours for one of my jobs on the app vs the resume. It was a job where the number of hours varied by week and both are reasonable estimates, I think, but

The likelihood of them noticing this has to be close to zero. The likelihood of it affecting your app has to be even closer. We have to remember these are human beings working at a regular job just like anyone else. They are not perfect and they certainly do not let tiny things like that keep them up at night :)

Do you guys think it's a big deal if someone doesn't fill out the awards section if awards are on the resume?

Probably not. IMHO those sections always befuddle me. I never know how "prestigious" an award they are referring to. For instance I tended to leave it blank, and list the (what I felt were) less prestigious honors and awards (such as deans list, etc) on the resume.

Oh, I'm sure this is true. But since when has rationality been a major part of the waiting process?

Ha. I can be so rational for other people, but when it comes to my own cycle...

Thanks! I think it's a function of being ED. If they were going to interview me, it would have to be soon to make use of my ED commitment.

Best of luck to you.

I was just going over UChicago's previous cycle and they are so much faster this year. Are we expecting decisions before Christmas? I know that ED people should start hearing back soon but perhaps they'll get a wave of RD before the holidays.

I have also been disheartened because of not having gotten an interview invite yet but there were several people last year who were accepted without an interview.

I certainly hope that they get some RD decisions out before Christmas but I don't expect it. Traditionally they start RD's in Janaury.

Anyone know if Chicago gives out merit scholarships with their original acceptance phone call? For some reason I had that impression but I'm not sure why.

No, scholarship offers historically come later by email. Rubies might be handled differently, they are on a slightly earlier time frame I think but still post-acceptance.

Were the people accepted without interviews all above both 75ths?

I wish I knew. I'm in the middle of finals so if anyone else is willing to grab this question, that would be amazing.

Not so fast. It hasn't even been a month. It was almost 2 months to the day between going complete and my invite. Do not dispair!

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
