My guess is early next week...bummer
I agree, especially considering the weather earlier this week
Yeah, I mean, like, I'm definitely on team today. The question is, is our friend Mr. Johann... and I'd say odds are against us here 25/75 because of the weather keeping them out Monday and Friday.

Does anyone know how quickly the ED applicants that were held should hear back? Are they re considered prior to RD applicants of similar submit dates?

Any details on the campus visit? How was the campus and facilities?

I think UChicago's campus and facilities are a lot better. More high tech, at least.
But Northwestern's is cool. Has that back in the day built lol
And the day I was there, the students were very welcoming. Made me feel like I belonged.

If you want a led-tour, I recommend calling in first. Otherwise, you'll be faced with self-led

I actually did a tour! (I'm not usually one to go on tours). But I was really impressed. It felt cozy, the library was lovely, the clinics (which I'm super interested in) have their own reading area overlooking Lake Michigan. Students seemed really easy going. Location of Chicago seems to be pretty central. Decent connection to transportation...

Oh and also, the people who were interviewing the same day were all amazing. I think that was the best part...

IIRC last year it went like this:
1. ED applicants all received decisions (accept/deny/hold) by the end of December
2. RD applicants got decisions (accept/deny/hold), and I got my RD>hold in early February
3. ED>hold people got decisions (accept/deny/WL), not sure when
4. RD>hold people got decisions (accept/deny/WL), and my hold>WL decision came in mid-April)

I'm guessing most of us ED>holds have to wait until the RD pool all gets decisions before they revisit our apps.

Looking at LSN, a lot of decisions were released 1/15 and 1/22 last cycle

Bummer. That's not what I wanted to hear but thanks for the info. If that's the case I hope it doesn't hurt our chances since in terms of rolling admission it's now like I am applying late.

No tweets from Johann or NU Admissions, so hopefully that means they are toiling away to send out some good decisions today. (I have no idea, but here is to wishful thinking.)

Finally went complete on 1/10 after e-mailing them about the lack of an update the day before. Submitted 11/23.

I interviewed on campus in nov. and my status hasn't updated since a day before my interview. Do you guys think my interviewer forgot to send in his evaluation?

Same, but off campus. The nice thing about NU is that they make you report your interview date, so I'm reasonably sure that if they didn't hear back from the interviewer within a timely manner, they would send a reminder. So, I feel relatively confident that my interviewer would have sent his stuff in, as he seemed really together and my interview was 2 months ago.

...I'm pretty sure this is nothing to panic about yet? At least take some consolation in the fact that you're not alone!

This happened to me. I called in and they confirmed that my app had been complete. Doesn't hurt to call.

So I'm thinking NU might be my best bet at movement this week now that they've hopefully thawed out a bit...definitely keeping an eye on Johann's twitter

Last cycle there were a bunch of decisions on 1/15 and 1/22, which were both Tuesdays. So maybe tomorrow???

I have my interview on Thursday at 11am.

I am sure this answer varies and I can probably comb through this thread and/or the spreadsheet, but do you all know the typical turnaround time from interview completion --> decision? I am thinking that since it's late in the cycle, my timetable *might* be slightly faster than at the beginning of the cycle? A girl can dream.

I interviewed 11/20. GPA between 25-50 and LSAT above median. Haven't heard back yet.

WOW. 11/20 and still no answer? That's harsh.

I actually did go through the spreadsheet and looked at who interviewed and who got in and these are the corresponding # of days between interview and decision:

27, 86, 58, 27, 27, 52, 34, 94

94....I am so sorry for that person -- but it's worth it when you get the decision and it's an acceptance, I'm sure!

Fingers crossed and good luck to all of you

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
Just kidding ... it's still FREE!
