so you can either try to login to the decision letter link or you can simply wait for the email. The decision letter link never worked for me last year until I received an email notification.

Yeah truly. Cryptic is the last thing people need right now. We're all stressed and tired with this process, a straight-forward notification would be much more appreciated.

What about refreshing the status chceker looking for "Decision Letter Available"? Is that an option?

I was told (weeks ago) by admissions that decisions on AJD would not be released until after the deadline to apply, which is today I believe. So there's a chance they could be released beginning today/tomorrow, but I have a feeling they'll wait and go through all of them together and make a decision around the end of the month.

Well, I don't have an email/status change, but I can log into the DLS, which I was previously not able to do. So that's something, maybe, possibly??!

"We are unable to display your letter because there has been an error in the decision letter database. Please send an email to admissions@law.northwestern.edu and we will work with IT to have this fixed as soon as possible. Thank you for your patience."

The way they write that can be seen as if there IS a letter out there for me.....but I'm not going to get my hopes up

I thought it let everyone log in, and just displayed an error if the letter wasn't there?

I'm not sure, have never tried before -- but I can log in now, so if that's restricted to people who will be getting decisions then I'm glad.

Maybe someone who just submitted and isn't expecting a decision yet could try logging into the DLS...?

This is probably true. I'm confident that in the past he has explicitly stated that decisions are coming. I do hope, however, that you folks hear soon!

I submitted later than most (didn't go complete until after December), and I can log in and see the same message. I didn't expect to be in this upcoming "wave," so I'm thinking it means nothing. (Sorry!)

Last week, I was informed that AJD applications for aren't even looked at until the AJD deadline has passed - and you're correct, the deadline is today, Jan 15. The part about reviewing them all together was also mentioned by the admissions staffer I spoke with. If that's the case, I can't imagine there's any good news for AJD applicants this week.
