Interviews have been pretty simple taking place via phone or email. These interviews tend to cover
-Why law school
-Address the lower/higher number for split/rev split
-Why St. Louis
-Why WUSTL
-Transactional or Lit?

Decisions have been coming out in Friday waves. Interviews are basically an acceptance with 90% of the people who have reported receiving an interview in this thread, being offered.

GOOD LUCK EVERYONE!!

+1. Even if you don't attend it's a nice bargaining chip.

As an aside, I am curious about their aid this year. Do they aim higher to try to snag more sticker low T14 people? Do they raise the standards for them, or keep them generally the same? I would imagine what they did last cycle is unsustainable. Despite Wash U's huge endowment, I doubt they are that thrilled to be spending that type of money on the law school.

Also, some like Spivey have mentioned it was possible that it was an"emergency fund" type of situation - no idea if that is true or how that would affect this cycle.

It should be interesting regardless! Good Luck, and I hope they continue to throw around the money :D

You are the man, I have turned around my lawyers. Also, subsequent interviews with senior level administrators pretty much conformed that this was indeed the case, they got a lump-sum capital injection from their central university.

Ooops... perhaps I could have worded it better.

Here is the full quote, for anyone interested:
MikeSpivey wrote:Sublime, et al.

I can't say because I don't know. I have received a good deal of emails on this since yesterday, including from admissions officers at law schools. My guess is that they may have just received a very large unrestricted "gift" and perhaps see this as a strategic year to use it since there likely will be a good deal of losers and only a few winners in the admissions arms race. Indeed, I think it is possible they have had a reserve budget for just this opportunity and perhaps now have decided to employ it, based on the data they have. This is purely guess-work by me but this might be the strategic thinking...

Ha! Well, I guess I shouldn't have had my hopes up. Still extremely interested in the school, but as an extreme splitter I had some hope in my heart!
