If you've been put on reserve, then you're no longer bound to attend if accepted off reserve, if that's what you're asking.

Just got the interview invite and the first available slot was mid-March.

Is that for all interviews, or only Skype interviews? I live walking distance from the campus.

Edit: just got one for the end of February.

Yes, because they most likely won't take people off reserve before then.

Just invited for an interview...stats above both 75ths. Is there really a wait until March for skype interviews? If so, I may consider withdrawing.

Hmm...is it worth it guys? Also, what's the thought process behind who gets asked to interview?

"This canes guy probably doesn't really want to come here. No point in wasting an admit on him and tying up $$$ that could be used to sway someone else if he's not serious about us. Let's invite him for an interview and see if he withdraws or if he actually cares enough to wait that long."

For anyone still waiting to do their interview I just had mine and as others have said it is very laid back and enjoyable, definitely much more conversational and informal than a typical interview. Some questions I remember being asked were:

-Favorite undergrad class and why
-Could you see yourself in Ithaca
-Why law, why Cornell
-Where do you see yourself in 10 yrs
-How would your friends describe you

There were more but I can't remember. I really enjoyed the interview though and was much more nervous than I think I needed to be
