Also, I think sending an email with subject line that simply says "admit" is by far the best way to send acceptances.

I just got in as well. 3.55, 173, applied early Feb., non-URM. I was absolutely floored. Columbia was my freaking reach school.

Columbia sends admits emails. Their office closes at 5 PM Eastern & I've seen a lot of decisions, on days they have big waves, come in around 4:30-4:45 PM Eastern. My suspicion is they send decisions late in the day so they don't get a lot of calls

wait, is the claim that a wave of acceptances, and only acceptances, will occur this week? To be clear, is this supposed wave coming in conjunction with a wave of rejections? OR are we talking about acceptances all coming relatively at the same time (SOOON), after which we can sort of expect rejections to come down the road?

I guess i'm mainly wondering this to know if I should be excited about a possible acceptance coming today/tomorrow without worrying about a possible rejection at the same time. Wow can this waiting game sound any sadder.
