I feel like bad news is only preferable to uncertainty in the abstract. Once you get an outcome you don't want, you'd probably give a lot to go back to waiting if waiting might yield you a more favorable result. At least that's always how I feel after I don't get something I really wanted.

Well as a mid-November complete, I can take solace in the fact that Dean Deal didn't laugh my file out of the room. With YLS, on the other hand, I'm pretty sure I heard pretty high-pitched chortle coming from New Haven after getting my Complete email.

She's only made afternoon calls twice this cycle that I'm aware of-the first was the very first wave of calls back in November. The other was a single afternoon call (after a wave of morning calls) to someone who had been waitlisted the prior two years and reapplied again-successfully -this year.
