Pardon my ignorance on this issue, but could someone please explain what "DLS" is? I understand what it means (denial or wait list) but I don't know where one might see it. If it is on the Status Checker, please be specific with regard to location as well as content ("DLS" could be an abbreviation).

"Decision Letter Sent" status on your status checker! :]

It means decision letter sent, and it will be on the right side of the status checker, where it says "current status".

Most of us would consider going if they called us.

Not me. Deposits due at schools I've actually visited/researched in less than two weeks. Think they lose all H/Y admits this way.

Thing is, I think a large proportion of their admits have already heard back, and they won't mind that proles like us have to wait.

I actually got an email. I had emailed them previously saying that I had to hear back by Wednesday, and they responded in that email that I was waitlisted. I'll be deferring for a year and then attending Berkeley, so I will not be waiting.

I'll just wait for the letter and act (or not act) accordingly. I'm just so psyched about the prospect of Harvard that I am not sad or concerned at all about Stanford. I hope Stanford has good news for you soon, koala.

I would say only do it if you have a legitimate deadline.
