I've definitely seen anecdotes here of ppl getting money off PR, but I wouldn't bet on it this late in the game. I've sent 2 LOCIs over the past 2 months. Can't tell u if it helped or not.

There are quite a number of current students who are in the admitted class page so that number isn't all admitted students

Withdrew last night. One of the most difficult decisions of my life. I hope one of you guys gets my spot and matriculates here. I don't say this lightly but Duke is an amazing school and anyone who chooses to go here is extremely lucky. Best of luck to you all.

Email to admitted students a few minutes ago, just FYI

The fall entering class is very close to capacity, and I anticipate it will be completely full later this week after we offer just a few available seats to especially strong candidates on our Priority Reserve or regular waiting lists. Because the number of admitted applicants who committed to Duke matched our projections, the overall size of the incoming class will be right on target. The Class of 2016 will include approximately 205 new first-year students.

Thanks! I'm a reverse splitter (165/3.89) so maybe they need more a of a GPA boost, but more than that, I went to Duke for undergrad so I'm sure that helped. It sounded like they were in the process of calling a handful of people before making offers off the waitlist. Similar to the email sent to admitted students, I was told on the phone that they only had a few slots available. Good luck to those waiting-- look out for that 919 number!

Congratulations! I hope you don't mind me asking, but did they give you any money? I'm curious if they're offering anything to those admitted off these wait-lists.
