Figured I'd make a thread for the many of us. Google doc similar to HLS's. Feel free to edit and add. I will update OP with any graphs/ charts / info you all find.
Please share numbers, etc in the google doc. Also, strategies to get off WL, etc, in the post!
Last years WL thread:

Best of luck to us all !

Admitted: 341
Denied: 108
WL: 98
WL-admits: 30
This year:

The setting for the spreadsheet is now "View Only," and I think you should change it to something else for us to edit it.

Where did the data in OP's chart on decision dates come from? I'm interested to see when exactly WL decisions were given out over the summer.

took it off front page of the c/o 2016 thread. not sure where it pulls from exactly but I think it's a chart of LSN results

I'd love to see data on when WL acceptances are given out, but on LSN it seems most people keep their decision date as the day they first got WL'd, so, not much help there...

I figured they were utilizing WL super heavily this year since the only people they've let in the past 4 months have been mostly superstars. The number admitted hasn't been that different, especially considering they might want to cut class size. Not sure what any of this means given LSN is self-reported but just throwing it out there for you guys."

thanks - editted OP.
I mean ~25% yield last year off WL is good because you have to also remember people drop off the WL as the summer goes so that doesn't even necessarily mean 25% of those who WANTED to be off the WL

Alright folks, did a bunch of research on past cycle and I updated the spreadsheet including a breakdown of last year's WL-admits sorted by stats and including acceptance dates if available.
Although 4/22 is NYU's deadline for scholarship recipients, last year waitlisters seemed to hear back in 2 waves: Mid-May and Early-June. It seems like they take time to view the data and readjust their goals, also many people ask for deadline extensions. WL-admits received a phone call gauging their interest level and later on in the week people went DLS.
The NYU WL was typically not used until a little in c/o 2014, and a decent amount for c/o 2015. Hoping this trend continues into c/o 2016!

Applicants have declined substantially. I think that the schools still haven't adjusted/learned what to do with the new pool size. I optimistically presume that there will be considerable wait list activity.

does anyone know whether NYU would take a june LSAT score? I understand that the december test is the latest they accept for regular admission, but what about WL'd applicants?

"take" vs "acknowledge"
prolly the later. can't hurt.

Fantastic work ChadBro, just top notch. If you really want to get OCD about it you can go through last year's WL thread and match up acceptance dates with usernames, haha. I know killingly posted that he was admitted in August. I hope you continue to update the data as this year's LSN data develops!

I was waitlisted and have been preparing my LOCI and today I randomly decided to check the status checker and saw decision letter sent!?!? :{ Eek! and then it says current status date 4/3, is this referring to my waitlist decision? Am I freaking out over nothing. I believe I am, let me check my email...April 10th I received the email about the waitlist..so I'm still on the waitlist right? No new rejection or denial is awaiting me in the mail?

Have you emailed them back wishing to remain on the waitlist? Mine says applicant confirmed on the waitlist the day they received my email.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
Now there's a charge.
