wow, did not realize that about vandy -.-

Chicago is $500 by 4/30 with the caveat: "Please note that some scholarship awards may have an earlier deadline and you will need to submit your response by that date."

For Berkeley, worth noting the June 3rd date: "Our response system will allow you either to commit to us immediately or to hold a place in our entering class until June 3, when we will ask you to make a final commitment."

Georgetown:
$400 due 4/1 to accept merit scholarship
otherwise, $800 "first tuition deposit and non-refundable fee" due 5/1 and $1,200 "second tuition deposit and partially-refundable fee" due 6/3 ($600 refunded if you withdraw by 6/10)

U. Chicago
$500 due 4/30 (earlier response deadline for some scholarships)

NYU
$600 due 5/3 (earlier for at least some scholarships)

Duke
$500 by 4/26

BC
$500 by 4/15; $500 by 6/3

UNC
$250 by 4/12/13

USC deposit is May 1, but deadline of April 15 to accept their scholarship. Note the scholarship acceptance form on April 15 is not binding until May 1.

I was wondering does anyone know how deposits work when one receives a full scholarship?

Michigan's is only $300 total if you are a summer starter, since you'll have already started classes by the time the second deposit is due.

The school will usually pay for your seat deposits. However, you must turn in a confirmation of commitment to the school by a certain date.
