Yea, hopefully. Especially all these nice TLSers, right Cuse? Haha, also, I was asking questions on the washu subreddit and I guess they have a WE car that you can rent for like a few bucks an hour with gas and insurance included too. Still have not confirmed whether it is for UG only or not. That would be perfect for grocery shopping on occasion or whatever.[/quote]
Given that Enterprise's HQ are in St. Louis, there is probably a zipcar equivalent available for WashU...I'm just saying.

Hang in there man! (there are two other schools in addition to Emory!?)TheThriller wrote:Sent an email today confirming that they received my scholarship negotiation email I sent a few weeks ago that I hadn't heard a response about. No response to this email as well.
WUSTL just went from #1 to #4. Pretty frustrating.

Given how much fun we had armchair lawyering about our potential classmate's C&F issues, I thought I'd post this gem from the archives, from Elizabeth Wurtzel, on Abovethelaw, a few years ago:
"Here’s something far more challenging, from writer-turned-lawyer Elizabeth Wurtzel, who explains:
When I was studying for the bar for the first time in New Haven, in my total frustration, I wrote a parody of a bar exam question, or may be of a Barbri question. I posted it on the Wall at YLS [Yale Law School's list-serv], and I am told that ever since it has been reposted every bar exam season.
I have gotten suggestions that I publish it, and a couple of people have actually attempted to answer it, which is crazy. In any case, do what you want with it.
It is hilarious, and insane, and it will make your head hurt — or explode. Check it out…."

Enjoy!!!

I mean, they're ignoring all my communication.cusenation wrote:Hang in there man! And I withdrew from GWU because of minimal scholarship today and they emailed me 10 minutes later telling me that they are re-assessing my original scholarship with an extension of my deposit deadline until they come back with a higher offer.
and still UR at Vandy. People with worse numbers have been getting ding letters the past week but I seemed to have survived the onslaught

It seems like for most people WUSTL is giving more than Emory, ND, W&L, etc. I hope I am wrong though. Can you ask MAC for us Cuse (also, that may be why iirc, somebody mentioned putting the target back at 200, maybe they know it is going to be big and want to temper the blow)?
Ya no idea I haven't talked to them ever.

whats average cost of rent? would rather have my own apartment but open to a roommate
How hard is it to find an apt.? im coming straight from joburg and want to know if i can find an apartment over the internet or if i have to do this all in person.
do i need a car in st. louis?
im sorry if this sounds ridiculous but ive never actually lived on my own sooooooo this whole moving to a different country/city is intense.
I am going to try to live alone without a car too, at least initially.
If I were you, and you have never lived alone, I would start trying to cook for yourself/your family/your friends as much as you can in the next few months and pay attention to some of the small things your parents do as far as grocery shopping, paying bills, and day to day shit.
I have lived by myself for the past two years (well, my cats are there too) and absolutely love it, and some people do, but really think about it, because I know some that have tried it and complain of getting lonely. But you can always rescue a cute new friend from a shelter!

The wash U one includes faculty and staff so I would guess Law Students are also included.

Why not just call the office? I would be as aggressive as possible. I called them about about trying to increase my stipend from $200 to $600 for ASD because I live far away. They said no way, but at least I got the response ASAP.TheThriller wrote:Sent an email today confirming that they received my scholarship negotiation email I sent a few weeks ago that I hadn't heard a response about. From what I have heard the faculty all voted to redirect their bonuses to increase the scholarship pool. Plus correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe WUSTL has one of the largest endowments in the United States for universities, so I would bet the money keeps coming.wannabelawstudent wrote:sublime12089 wrote:I almost feel like they offered more than they intended to, and so the money is drying up because they think they might end up with a larger class size than their goals, both as far as scholarships paid and number of people.
