Now there's some reason for optimism! Thanks for the heads up.

I've also been told, and I don't know how true it is, that Alabama likes to give in-staters major preference before out-of-staters, so it takes a while for them to respond, unless your numbers are way above medians. So, that's what I'm going with to make myself feel better.

teiswei, do you have anything in your file that would make them decide against you being an auto-admit? You don't have to say what, but is there something bad that would make them think twice about admitting you with crazy high numbers?
It's looking like people from <157 all the way to 174 are PFCD, so I don't know what we are. It probably just means that we didn't make the auto-admit cut, are roughly organized by worth, and are currently on hold.

I don't have crazy high numbers but I do have solid numbers, a grad degree from a T14, and a ton professional FT work experience. Nothing negative on file outside a mediocre performance in community college. I would hope I would be competitive but not an auto admit by traditional standards. I think you have competitive numbers and you are over thinking it. Relax, it'll all work out2012Lsatscore wrote:teiswei, do you have anything in your file that would make them decide against you being an auto-admit? This would be amazing.
And I too find it strange that some > 165ers haven't heard back.. I really thought it was pretty much the key this year

Oh, okay. I was thinking you had a 4.0/174. You must have responded to someone who did.teiswei wrote:I don't have crazy high numbers but I do have solid numbers, a grad degree from a T14, and a ton professional FT work experience. Well, that just strengthens my opinion that PFCD is a fancy way of saying on hold.

Do they let in-staters in with lower numbers? Someone mentioned something about requirement ratios for natives and non-natives

PFCD is the hold list. This seriously sucks.

I say it because it's true. The people that are going on PFCD are the people who are getting passed by. We did not make the first cut. You got an alumni call so I would imagine that you will be fine. They cared enough to reach out to you.teiswei wrote:Why do you say that?2012Lsatscore wrote:I TOLD YOU!!!!!!!!!!kayleighcheyenne wrote:Okay awesome, thanks!

When I can bring myself to pull my head out of the oven I will do a study on how many PFCD people got in last year. I imagine it will be bleak at best.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
