Saw I was updated to "Decision Made" on 12/5. Complete around mid-November, so expecting a WL with my stats (166/3.51) given the quick turn around

Waitlisted by mail today. Completed mid-November. I sent a withdrawal request few days ago after being admitted to a top 10. In a different situation I probably would have loved attending ND.

Anonimo, what are your numbers? Curious because I'm also PR and also got WL'ed.

Similar to yours. I think they are very protective of their numbers.
Reading from your posts, yes, you should have used that ED on Duke! Seeing we have similar applications, you should only consider attending top 14.

Congrats on Michigan though! I would do anything to get in there.
Yeah I definitely think I misued that ED. Hope I don't get locked out of T14 though. Notre Dame sure has been tough to get into this cycle. So many people with high numbers in this thread getting waitlisted.

Status update to 12/10. This is my second status update since going complete. The first one was exactly a week ago 12/3.
My status still says "application complete" rather than "under review." Is that normal?

Just got my Waitlist in the mail and submitted my response form.
I am really glad that I wasn't dinged but waiting until April will be rough.

Exact same scores. I guess I'll get the WL or reject sometime next week then.mh33 wrote:Saw I was updated to "Decision Made" on 12/5. Complete around mid-November, so expecting a WL with my stats (166/3.51) given the quick turn around

Decision made 12/5, admitted 12/7. I'm an undergrad at ND, and it's pretty common knowledge around here that the "optional" "why nd?" essay is pretty much required, and you'll be waitlisted unless you have stellar numbers. I had a 167 and 3.51 GPA, and they're known to be tougher on their own undergrads.
So write the optional essay.
So write the optional essay.

Status changed to decision made today...but nothing new appears under my fees. Does that mean WL/rejection? Numbers are 169/3.6 and I wrote a solid "Why ND?".

Does it change to "under review" or stay as "complete" until a decision is made?

I'm pretty sure mine said "complete" up until it changed to "decision made".UMich11 wrote:Does it change to "under review" or stay as "complete" until a decision is made?

Sending decisions through snail mail just seems so archaic. What is wrong with texts/phone calls/emails?

If you are waitlisted is there a time limit you have to write a LOCI?
Im worried I am going to get waitlisted due to not writing a "Why ND", though I did tailor my personal statement to ND specifically.

Decision made 12/11. I just called the admissions office to change my mailing address to my parents house because I am home for winter break. If I get waitlisted I want to send out a LOCI ASAP.

Any correlation between quick turnaround and WL? I submitted 11/16 and my decision has been made already.
