The WL email didn't seem especially optimistic :/

no it definitely didn't. but based on the WL threads from 2010-2012 it looks like they send out an email with pretty much the exact same wording every year and people then reported getting the call a couple days later. but still, the wording is not greatLRGhost wrote:The WL email didn't seem especially optimistic :/

has anyone locked down an apartment yet or have a pretty good idea of the building/area where they wanna live? there are sooo many places listed on the admitted students website, kinda overwhelming!

I am curious did any ED students receive merit scholarship or financial aid?
Also does Penn have 2L's reapply for aid or it is the same as 1L?

Hopefully somewhere within a 15-20 min walk of school. Been using only Craigslist at this point, because I've preferred the quality/prices there over the admitted students website selection.dek88 wrote:has anyone locked down an apartment yet or have a pretty good idea of the building/area where they wanna live? there are sooo many places listed on the admitted students website, kinda overwhelming!

At ASW they said that you get your award for all 3 years when you are admitted and you are not reconsidered for more merit as a 2L.stacy wrote:I am curious did any ED students receive merit scholarship or financial aid?

Just received an e-mail from Penn: Waitlist--->Deny. At the end of the road.

I as well. I was hoping that I would have a chance in July after my June retake scores came in but alas.Rory19 wrote:Just received an e-mail from Penn: Waitlist--->Deny. At the end of the road.
Good luck to the remaining applicants.

Was reminded today that I'm still on the waitlist. At various times I sent a Why Penn, a LOCI, a supplemental essay, and an updated resume, and I didn't get a fee waiver, so I'm staying on this god darn waitlist.

Anyone know what time classes start? Or what the earliest starting time would be? I can't find any sort of schedule online.

I asked this in the Penn class thread. I think aug 28 is the first mandatory dayTBZ28 wrote:Anyone know what time classes start? Or what the earliest starting time would be? I can't find any sort of schedule online.

Oops, didn't know that thread existed. Orientation is the 28th, but classes start August 3rd. I'm wondering about the time though, not the day.

I've had trouble finding decent housing in the 750-1100 range. I think splitting a double with someone might be a better option. Center City, Rittenhouse, and University City are my preferred areas. If you need or know of anyone looking for a roommate pm me

Not that I'm aware of, but they did say that, surprisingly, 42% are straight from undergrad, the age range is 20-33, and 10% already have advanced degrees. Those are the only stats I remember.LawwwYeaa wrote:hey guys - at orientation, did they announce penn's c/o 2016 medians?
