Lessthankjake went UR early jan, which means he probably
Submitted sometime in December. Im an early
Jan submit and havent heard anything yet. So Im not so sure we are at the end of the line. What makes you think so?
I don't know why it bugs me (again) that someone makes a comment like that :?
But it kind of does, nonetheless. I understand many of you are insanely exceptional candidates with stellar acceptances, but that doesn't necessarily mean you will hear anything anytime soon. I guess it just sounds strangely presumptuous to assume that you will, when other equally qualified candidates have been passed over. :)
I apologize if it came off that way, I should have made myself more clear. I thought that commenter I was responding to was concluding that almost everyone has either received a hold, wait list, or rejection, and was just pointing out that there were still some candidates (one of them being myself) who have not heard anything.

EDIT: Not sure if your comment was referring to mine or the one I was responding to.

Yup...which makes me optimistic for JS1s for holds in the next week or two.

I submitted early January and am still under first review. I'd like to think that no news=good news at this point?

Hahah I didn't mean to start no drama :D
Your clarification makes sense, and I'm another late December submit who hasn't heard anything yet...

I don't think so :(. They just haven't rejected anyone who submitted after 12/05 or so... Not to say you'll get rejected, but they just haven't gotten around to sending out the massive ding-wave.

I mean, I might be wrong. Although I'm *generally* infallible... :D
Just check on LSN and sort for decision date, and you'll see that the majority of recent decisions have been only acceptances. While there are hundreds of applicants with no decisions yet... The majority of them (us) are bound to get rejected at some point.

No, no. Just that they might not have fallen in love with you and given you an immediate JS1. You might still get one in the future! (I would really love for that to be true, because I'm in the same boat :D)

haha, i like your interp much better. :)
i guess at this point it can't hurt to throw out a loci? i do have an academic letter of recommendation that was just submitted to lsac (for my yale app, but it's general, so w/e). i'm pretty sure this letter will be better than my previous recs--do you think harvard will be willing to look at it at thispoint?

Lol. That's the "I know we're close but not that close" look that inevitably leads to friend-zoning or extreme awkwardness.

Michigan is going to Ron Paul. At least all my Republican friends tell me they love him (I'm from Michigan).

It's possible, but this whole Santorum-robocall thing is starting to heat up. Some of the mud is gonna stick. He is dissing Romney for not supporting the loans to US car makers, but he himself is on record for not approving any bailouts. I think this is going to get him in trouble.
