So I got the letter today, but it didn't have any info about how many people typically get placed on the waitlist, or how many people typically get off it. Does anyone have a rough idea as to what these numbers are?

I'd be interested in this as well, but I think current SLS students would probably be the best people from whom to find info on this. Maybe some will stop by and chime in.

I was WL'ed, but I want to withdraw. They sent a form to send in with the letter, but does anyone know if they'll accept a withdrawal by email? Thanks

The only comfort I have is that this WL is not as terrifying as the Harvard one.

I guess I meant to say that this spreadsheet for WL's is not as terrifying. Not quite as lengthy as Harvard's.

Well they are going to have a smaller WL because they have a smaller class. But still, I know what you mean.

So after some intense waffling I've decided not to ride the waitlist (putting the form in the mail tomorrow morning). I wish you guys all the best, and I will be checking in from time to time, hoping to see some of you get accepted!
