vandy has definitely not been kind to splitters this cycleleebyman1 wrote:Of 14 schools I've applied to, this was one of the lowest ranked (yeah, I know the crap that comes with USN&WR rankings). I've already been accepted at 2 peer-or-better schools with great scholarships, and today I got a waitlist letter from Vandy.
Really? Why? Suck it, Vandy.
Ok, I suppose I have a mild case of rejection. It's just that so many other schools are in cold parts of the country; Nashville might have been nice!
Oh well.
Yes, I WOULD like to withdraw from consideration.
PS 171/3.4, badass personal statement (if I do say so myself)

Atleast a 167, but realistically a 169+ would help alot.mettasutta wrote:With my 3.82 GPA--Vandy's 75th %ile according to the most recent rankings--what sort of LSAT would I need in June in order to have a decent shot of getting off the WL (assuming that spots open up in the summer)?

Communicate now with those who not only know what a legal education is, but can offer you worthy advice and commentary as you complete the three most educational, yet challenging years of your law related post graduate life.

Thank you. Will a 169+ garner scholarship money? Or will it be all dried up by then? Do you know of anecdotes of waitlisted applicants who get accepted with merit aid?TheFactor wrote:167- mehmettasutta wrote:With my 3.82 GPA--Vandy's 75th %ile according to the most recent rankings--what sort of LSAT would I need in June in order to have a decent shot of getting off the WL (assuming that spots open up in the summer)?
168- likely in
169- lock
I've only heard of token amounts (5ish/yr), but for much more borderline apps. Can't hurt to ask. You definitely need to ask though. Good luck!mettasutta wrote:Thank you.
